NORTHERN VIEW FARM-SUMMER 2002 "THE NORTHERN VIEW" Northern View Farm (NVF) is situated in east central Saskatchewan, Canada. NVF has been in operation since 1959. NVF has been involved in purebred livestock since it started. The first purebreds to walk the farm were registered polled herefords. Animals were shown and sold in the hereford business. In the early 1990's, as the hereford breed was fading, NVF dabbled in the purebred saler industry. In 1997 the first registered black angus female was purchased from CRESCENT CREEK ANGUS. Since that date NVF has been slowly expanding through purchases and the raising of our own stock by using quality genetics and well thought out breeding. We have been recently using semen from Sitz Alliance 6595, Hyline Right Way, Grandview Womack Direct, Millcreek Precise and AAR Really Windy, as well as our own bulls. We currently have two young herd bulls that we currently have calves on the ground from Northern View Quantum 86P, Windy Willows Ambush 143P, Northern View Quantum 82R, Double D Smokie 21R, and Northern View Elixir 70m. These sets of calves look awesome. Watch for photos and ypdates on these exciting herd sires and their progeny. We have strived to develop quality rather than quantity in our program. Starting in January 2007 we will be having 80 registered females calving. this number grows annually as we increase our purebred angus herd and decrease our commercial herd. With a fourth generation having interest in NVF we look forward to a POSITIVE future coming from a QUALITY past. WE ARE STRIVING TOWARD- "ANTICIPATING THE FUTURE OF ANGUS"
