Northern View Farm
(NVF) is situated in east central Saskatchewan, Canada.
NVF has been in
operation since 1959. NVF has been involved in purebred livestock since it
started. The first purebreds to walk the farm were registered polled
herefords. Animals were shown and sold in the hereford business.
In the early
1990's, as the hereford breed was fading, NVF dabbled in the purebred saler
industry.
In 1996 the first
registered black angus female was purchased from CRESCENT CREEK ANGUS. Since
that date NVF has been slowly expanding through purchases and the raising of
our own stock by using quality genetics and well thought out breeding.
We have strived to
develop quality rather than quantity in our program. Starting in January
2009 we will be having 100 registered females calving. We have been
retaining many of our own genetics and making selective female purchases
over the last few years to build our numbers to this level.
. The Northern
View Flying Elixir 70M females have been proving to be wonderful young cows.
We have many of these females in our herd.
With a fourth
generation having interest in NVF we look forward to a POSITIVE future
coming from a QUALITY past.
